Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Service Designers to join our team, with two positions being recruited. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovative, council-wide service design and to embed solution-based approaches through the use of Service Design methodologies.
As ambassadors of user-centred design and problem-solving, these roles will work alongside Service Representatives and Business Change to lead on discovery and definition of improvement, working closely with stakeholders to identify solutions. The successful candidates will have responsibility for the development of an engaging offer of collaboration and support to be delivered across the organisation and will be expected to design and embed Service Design techniques and practice across the organisation within the Future Aberdeenshire Transformation Programme environment. Successful candidates will be expected to work flexibly to progress delivery of a fast-paced programme, demonstrating exemplary organisational skills, as well as the effective management of multiple stakeholders and change activity.
As part of the Transformation and Change Team, the Service Designers will be required to provide guidance and expertise in the transformation of services as well as contributing to the realisation of benefits in line with service and Council priorities.
There is a responsibility for the post holders to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the organisation.
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 31/03/2026.
