Job Description Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Governance and Assurance Lead to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis. The Governance & Assurance Lead reports to the Governance & Assurance Manager sitting within the Customer and Commercial organisation and is responsible for developing and implementing assurance strategies to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in our organisational practices. Role details: Job title: Governance and Assurance Lead Contract length: 12 months Location: Derby Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Governance Ownership and improvements to the Operating Model Develop, implement, and improve governance policies and procedures. Monitor and report on governance practices and performance. Conduct regular reviews of governance frameworks and recommend improvements Assurance Develop and implement assurance plans and programs across Portfolio, Programmes and Project Control accounts (P3M) as a 2nd Line of Defence. Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls. Identify and mitigate risks to the organization’s operations. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational information. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Conducting 2nd Line of Portfolio assurance across the RRSL business Carrying out assurance activities on Oracle Primavera P6 plans Production and delivery of the Total Assurance Plan. Compliance Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. Develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives. Monitor and report on compliance activities and performance. Conduct compliance audits and assessments. Provide training and support to employees on compliance matters. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with stakeholders to influence, ensure understanding, and gain support of governance and assurance activities. Provide regular updates to the board and senior management on governance and assurance matters. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
