More about the role
To work in our charity shops, we’re looking for professionals with experience working in retail (an eye for fashion helps!). Your role will involve working through the donations we receive to establish what can sell and find its new home. Loved by our fantastic customers and supported by generous donations, our shop is lucky to receive some unique, quality items where every purchase helps us continue our vital work, caring for over 40,000 animals each year through our rehoming, veterinary, and education programmes.
As a Standby Shop Assistant, you will use your experience in retail and play a crucial role in our shop's daily operations. Working with our Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager, you will be confident serving your community and helping lead and motivate our team of volunteers.
Our shop is open Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. This role is on a zero hours contract where there are no guaranteed working hours in a week, but hours will be agreed based on business need – flexibility is key for this role. Weekend and bank holiday working may be required.
