You will play a pivotal role in leading the SEN department, ensuring all students with additional needs are supported to achieve their full potential. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a well-established secondary school in Redbridge Lead and manage the SEN provision, ensuring it is delivered effectively across the school Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs), collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide tailored interventions Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, ensuring that teaching strategies and interventions are effective Foster a whole-school approach to inclusion, promoting best practices in teaching and learning for students with additional needs Lead a team of SEN staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and contribute to the development of school policies related to SEN Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) – or a commitment to achieving it Proven experience in a SENCo role or equivalent leadership position within a secondary school Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and experience working with a diverse range of special educational needs Leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of professionals and drive positive change Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
