Job Description:
The KPMG Consulting function is a cornerstone of our business. Operating from London, we do work that matters, serving the country with diligence and expertise.
KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. We've supported the UK through times of war and peace, prosperity and recession, political and regulatory upheaval. We've proudly stood beside the institutions and businesses which make the UK what it is.
By encompassing a wide range of disciplines across areas such as Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation, we become immersed in our clients' organisations, applying sector knowledge and technology solutions to deliver the best outcomes and ensure first-time right results.
Why Join KPMG as a Programme Assurance Manager?
Leadership & Management:
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, working under a dedicated Senior Manager and/or Director. Lead junior team members to develop their skills in IPA.
Engage directly with senior stakeholders on the client side (e.g., Programme Directors and CFOs), clearly articulating risks and recommendations from IPA work. Collaborate with internal senior teams to secure resources, deliver, and approve work.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
Contribute to risk management activities over large, multimillion-pound engagements spanning multiple years. Ensure adherence to all KPMG risk processes due to the high-risk nature of IPA work.
What will you be doing?
* Gain a full understanding of end-to-end business transformation ERP programmes, including associated challenges and assurance requirements.
* Understand all critical workstreams such as PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and transition, leading focused reviews in these areas.
* Identify key risks throughout the programme lifecycle and determine appropriate mitigations to address them.
* Translate observations into risks with clear impact assessments and practical, non-template recommendations.
* Manage multiple IPA activities (stage gates, deep dives) and align them with other assurance activities like IA-driven work, communicating effectively with internal Q&A teams using appropriate terminology (1st/2nd/3rd line).
Lead a junior team to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, such as health check reports, stage gate reviews, and assessments of client readiness for next project stages.
