As a Senior Infrastrcuture Engineer you will support the Infrastructure Manager to develop solutions and implement change to ensure that maximum levels of IT uptime and user satisfaction are maintained for Windows systems, Network and Azure services, in a heterogeneous environment integrated with Linux, 3rd party applications, containers and SaaS applications. The key responsibilities of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer role include: Developing, managing and supporting Windows servers. Developing, managing and supporting EUC images (Windows 10/11). Developing, managing and supporting the Network (SD-WAN, Azure, Firewalls, VPNs). Windows software package management and deployment (SCCM/Intune). Architecting, capacity planning, reviewing, building and integrating systems/solutions for business projects. Build business solutions using the Azure tech stack and DevOps platform to deliver secure performant, scalable and repeatable services. Failover testing, patching, security planning and security testing. System documentation and ensuring systems are compliant to security standards, and vendor best practice. Provide technical support, within an ITIL framework, monitor a problem management queue for open tickets and prioritise own workload accordingly for fault resolution, logging updates and resolutions to problems via Jira. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, service performance and uptime. The key skills needed for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer role include: Building and supporting solutions using VMs and native services. Minimum 5 years’ experience of Windows server, AD, SCCM/Intune and group policy administration. PowerShell scripting (advanced). O365, Hybrid Exchange, EntraID (SSO, MFA, Enterprise Apps, conditional access, PIM etc.), Azure B2C. Knowledge in Cyber security best practice, utilising tools and education to improve maturity. Network routing protocols, firewalls, SDN and advanced troubleshooting (packet capture/inspection). Experience in File and Print services EUC Web filtering,Email hygiene services,SSL Certificate management.
