Snyder ISD is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to lead the district’s efforts in preparing students for college, careers, and the military. This role is crucial in helping students transition from high school to post-secondary success by developing robust programs in advanced academics, dual credit, career technical education (CTE), and work-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Advanced Academics, Dual Credit, and Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs.
2. Establish internship, apprenticeship, and job-shadowing opportunities.
3. Build and maintain partnerships with local employers and community organizations.
4. Oversee compliance with CTE regulations, audits, and program development.
5. Act as the lead for dual-credit advising, P-TECH, and work-based learning programs.
6. Guide students and families through college-readiness processes, including TSI testing, FAFSA applications, and post-secondary planning.
7. Support CTE teachers through professional development, classroom observations, and departmental oversight.
8. Track program success and report progress to district stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Certification in a CTE field required; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Valid Texas teaching certificate in a CTE field, or willingness to obtain Work-Based Learning (WBL) certification.
3. Knowledge of career technical instruction, work-based learning, and advanced academic opportunities.
4. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Self-starter with the ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships with community stakeholders.
