Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate and private customers a range of customised financial services.
We are looking for a confident and eager to learn individual to join our Used Car team, responsible for the remarketing of used vehicles and the development of initiatives and programmes to ensure this is a profitable area of business for the BMW Group. You will be a key and valued part of our team that sees Used Car sales as more than just selling pre-owned cars, but rather as a massive profit opportunity due to Used Car sales having the potential to lead to Aftersales, Financial Services, and New Car Sales opportunities.
What awaits you?
As our Intern, you will support the team in developing and implementing BMW and MINI Used Car strategic projects. These projects will support the Used Car Team in developing our Used Car strategy with the aim of increasing both the profitability and sales volume of Used Cars for our Retailers. Your roles and responsibilities will specifically involve:
* Researching industry and competitor trends along with analysing internal programmes and data to provide the Used Car team with insights and considerations for future initiatives.
* Supporting the analysis, development, and implementation of the BMW Group Used Car strategy to ensure it is sustainable, profitable, and engaging to our Retailers and Customers.
* Assisting with the organisation, prioritisation, and management of BMW Group Used Car projects to increase opportunities for Retailer growth.
* Supporting the Used Car Development Manager with raising and reconciling operational budgets to fund projects and suppliers.
* Supporting the Used Car team in evaluating and developing Used Car programmes such as Audits, Mystery Shops, and many other exciting projects yet to come.
* Supporting the Retailer Network on a daily basis with regular interaction and with the opportunity to visit and present in person to retailers for both the MINI and BMW brand.
Qualifications and Experience
* Studying towards a bachelor's degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2. A Business-related degree would be beneficial but is not essential.
* Proficient in using Microsoft programmes such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* An analytical mind.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good numerical skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* A quick learner who is eager to get stuck into all tasks.
* A source of innovation and creativity for our business as well as a resource that will challenge our norms.
* Driving is essential for this role.
