2x SEND Teaching Assistant Special School
North Bradford
Pay: £100 - £120 per day
PK Education is working with a generic special school in the North of Bradford, who are looking for 2 x Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants.
There is a full-time position and a part-time position (Mon-Wed) to start on 4th December for at least one full term.
You will be working with primary age students who are non-verbal and pre-verbal. The role can be quite challenging as some behaviors can include biting and spitting. Therefore, this position is suited for someone with experience working with students with special educational needs in a special school or similar setting, hence the competitive pay.

Job Responsibilities:
* Support the teacher as a SEND Teaching Assistant and assist SEND students within the class, ensuring their needs are met at all times.
* Must have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs from early years foundation.
* Be prepared to get involved.
* Build trusted relationships with the students.
* Provide a nurturing approach to understand the students' abilities and frustrations to create positive outcomes in their learning.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must have a minimum Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
* It would be an advantage to have GNVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care, SEND Diploma or equivalent.
* MAKATON, PECS, VISUAL AID, PEG FEED, HOIST TRAINING are all advantageous but not essential.
* Must be highly enthusiastic and a motivated individual with a real passion for supporting children with differentiated needs.
* Have knowledge of children and young people on the autistic spectrum and those with severe learning difficulties.
* Fully committed and adaptable.
* Must have a valid DBS on the subscription service or be willing to complete one.
* Be willing to have a flexible approach.
* Competitive rates of pay between £100 - £120 per day.
