We are proud to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our clients finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.You'll have the opportunity to grow in your role, while playing an important part in our client's continued success. What you'll do: Maintain the fixed asset register. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Process supplier invoices, compile monthly supplier payment runs, reconcile supplier statements, and more. Allocate invoices to appropriate cost centre. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Analyse and prepare employee expense reports. Generate and compile monthly KPIs to support decision-making. Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments. Ensure deadlines are met at the end of each month. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Perform stock reconciliations and assist with stock control and reporting. What you'll need: Part-qualified (IATI, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Previous experience in preparing management accounts, stock reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations is highly desirable. Strong IT skills, with advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas). Experience using accounting software/packages. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven. Strong critical thinking, investigative, and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels. Proactive, flexible, and adaptable in meeting the needs of the business.
