About The Role
Job Purpose:
Support the procurement activities at a Project level, ensuring the purchase orders are aligned to the project schedule and working with the wider teams to mitigate any delays to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Be the point of contact for the Head of Supply Chain on any procurement related queries with Projects.
* Liaise with the Scheduling Team to ensure purchase orders are placed in line with the project schedule, raising the necessary schedule change requests when required.
* Work closely with the Scheduling Team to understand supplier capacities to identify suppliers with the necessary capacity to meet the project lead time.
* Represent and lead Procurement in the Clear to Promise (CTP) review, using the MRP data to highlight priorities.
* Update and complete project tasks, review SCRs raised by scheduling team, raise SCRs on behalf of scheduling team where required.
* Represent the Procurement Team in the Project Status meeting to communicate the procurement updates to all stakeholders.
* Need to have attendance at Kick Off Meetings for new Projects, weekly/bi-weekly meetings with ProMan Team to discuss procurement issues and manage project close out from a procurement view.
* Day to day procurement activities as required.
* Work alongside planning to support any procurement queries and these will be filtered back to the scheduling and category team.
* Any other appropriate tasks that the company requires.
* Answer Assembly requests and questions regards project readiness, feedback any delays or impact in a proactive manner.
* Continually challenge and improve upon current practices and procedures.

Skills Needed
Required Criteria
* Educated to degree level in a business-related discipline or
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing function in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of working with a modern ERP/MRP 2 system
* Proficient with Microsoft office software
* Available to work flexible hours.
* Right to work in the UK
Desired Criteria
* Part CIPS qualified or similar
* Experience with IFS system
