Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee their industrial projects in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
2. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
3. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
4. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
5. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
6. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
7. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
8. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
9. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
10. Track project milestones and deliverables.
11. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
12. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
13. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
14. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
15. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Qualifications And Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in project management within the industrial sector.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
4. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
5. Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
6. Experience in managing project budgets and financials.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
