Junior Buyer

* Operational hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 - 5:00, and an early finish on Fridays at 2pm
The Role of Junior Buyer:
* Liaise with the Purchasing team, Management, and Engineering on Purchasing issues, contributing to the strategic vision and targets.
* Analyse quotations, conduct comparison reporting, and manage general Purchase administration including documentation processing.
* Generate RFQs, select vendors, and facilitate contract negotiations, ensuring business requirements are met comprehensively.
* Lead cost reduction activities, track savings projects, and report on forecasts and actuals effectively.
* Perform basic financial computations and assist in completing all Purchasing tasks to meet project deadlines.
* Promote the company's HSE policies across the department, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
The Ideal Junior Buyer:
* Essential knowledge of SAP and a good basic standard of education in literacy and numeracy.
* CIPS qualification or the willingness to study towards completing it.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft packages, with proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
* A keen understanding of cost breakdown analysis and the ability to compare quotes effectively.
* Relevant commercial experience within a fast-paced working environment, showcasing strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
