Salary: £160,000 - £165,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Responsibilities:
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be at the forefront of clinical care, leading and managing patient treatment within the Male PICU service. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and helping to shape a therapeutic environment.
* Providing expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population, including those with complex mental health needs.
* Leading patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, and fostering a recovery-oriented approach.
* Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff, to develop holistic, person-centred care plans.
* Engaging in clinical governance activities and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the service.
* Participating in on-call rotations to ensure continuous, high-quality care and support for patients.
* Developing strong relationships with external stakeholders and maintaining a professional network.
* Ensuring full compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
* Committing to ongoing professional development and fulfilling Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:
They are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
* Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
* Extensive experience in Forensic Psychiatry, particularly in inpatient settings with patients presenting complex mental health conditions.
* Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
* A CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in psychiatry, with proven experience in leading clinical teams and providing high-quality care.
* The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate evidence-based practices into operational solutions.
