What will you do?
In this role, you will support the Head of Property to ensure that the business achieves its strategic goals. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working closely with the Head of Property and Building & Projects manager. You will support in the management of the residential estate (Circa 30 residential properties that are rented), land portfolio (over 1000 acres of arable land either on FBT or being promoted for development), the ongoing development and maintenance of 10 golf courses, clubhouses, and land holdings along with the property matters of the Adventure Leisure portfolio of 18 leisure businesses (Mulligans and Ninja Warrior).
This is an exciting opportunity for a surveyor to gain valuable experience whilst being supported through the APC (RICS). The role is extremely varied, offering experience across residential, development, commercial, retail & rural land management.
The role is based in Cobham and is majority office-based albeit with a nationwide portfolio, and the candidate will be expected to travel in line with responsibilities. This is a full-time role.
Experience you MUST have?
Experience
* Property related bachelor’s, master’s degree or Assocs RICS qualification. Alternatively prior approval from RICS for APC through 5 or 10 year routes is essential.
* Any experience using Re-Leased (asset management), AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT is beneficial.
Skills
* Good verbal and written communications skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
* Able to use own initiative, be innovative taking responsibility for actions and decisions.
* Flexible positive attitude towards work.
* Capability to listen, learn and apply to real-world scenarios.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Attributes
* Willingness to learn on the job and contribute to live matters to gain experience.
* Theoretical understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
* Theoretical understanding of planning system.
* Ability to read leases and abstract information.
* Strong communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service.
* Ability to prioritize and manage periods of intense activity.
* Good analytical skills.
* Ability to deliver consistent and rapid responses to all requests.
* Willingness to learn across sectors and property classes.
* Desire to complete APC and achieve RICS membership.
