The company has had some big growth over the last 3 years which has seen them double in size and Candidates should have the following experience to be considered for the role: Proven experience as an Engineering Buyer or in a similar procurement role ideally working in Engineering, Fabrication, Steel or similar. Responsible for purchasing materials, consumables and services in a timely, cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications. Be driven to make cost savings across the business being able to source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability and delivery speed. Be good with developing relationships with key suppliers and build effective partnerships. Developing and implement purchasing strategies for products and services maintaining the approved supplier list. Ensure all valid supplier certification is maintained in line with ISO 9001 requirements. Ideally have Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS). Good use and knowledge of procurement software to carry out day to day duties.
