Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: St Helens Salary: £85 - £100 per day, based on experience Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary/Permanent Agency: Teaching Personnel Salary: £ About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners who require additional support to thrive in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Support students in their learning both inside and outside the classroom. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and independence. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. Help with personal care needs where necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times. Participate in school activities, trips, and extracurricular programs as required. Requirements: Experience working with children or young adults with SEN in an educational setting. A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to support learning and development. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
