NRL are currently recruiting for a Assurance Engineer to work on behalf of one of our clients in the Bolton area. This would be a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Responsible for the control and management of all destructive and non-destructive testing activities/deliverables
2. Production of testing strategy documentation to optimise the number of tests required to satisfy full package/ product assurance
3. Liaising with test houses (responsible for quotations, dates, installation, and drawings)
4. Attendance at tests (domestic and international), reporting all observations, identifying causes of failure, and proposing remedial works as required
5. Final sign off of test products (FAT) prior to shipping, and following product installation at test facilities in advance of testing
6. Knowledge and application of all test standards ensuring test house compliance
7. Work closely with Sales to identify NPD opportunities, and support composition of business cases for investment
8. Guiding the business’ Sales and Design teams on product viability per application/ specification
9. Review tenders for assurance compliance, noting any assumptions and/or deviations
10. Maintain awareness of current technological developments and accepted industry standards
11. Maintenance of test reports/ assessments on the Network Drive
12. Development of procedures relating to assurance as a subject
13. Production of all pre-test and post-test documentation as required by the business/ project
14. Provide support to the wider project team, liaising with customers as required
15. Complete adherence to Booth’s ISO 9001 procedures for engineering department
16. Responsible for achieving schedule adherence for all actions assigned to individual/ role
17. Ensure personal objectives are completed in a timely manner, and contribute to overall departmental/ business objectives year-on-year
You will need:
1. A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in the application of engineering standards
2. Minimum HND in Engineering, preferably bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
3. Experience in configuration management and destructive testing
4. Good knowledge of supporting constructions in test environments
5. Working knowledge of technical standards for design and testing relevant to BIIL core markets and products
6. Must be able to obtain SC clearance
