Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the People Directorate to help shape and deliver the University Hospitals Tees (UHT) organisational redesign. University Hospitals Tees consists of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a hugely ambitious programme of work creating an opportunity to positively transform healthcare services throughout the Tees Valley, County Durham and North Yorkshire for the benefit of its patients and wider population. Building on the work undertaken in relation to the development of a University Hospitals Tees Group structure and the development of clinical pathways across the two organisations, the strategic direction is now to move to the development of single clinical services. Working across UHT, the post holder will support the Clinical Services Programme Group and the Joint Partnership Board and have a lead role in the organisational redesign process, supporting and enabling implementation at group level from a people related perspective, through the development and deployment of effective collaborative working as part of the exciting programme of transformation across UHT. Main duties of the job The Candidate We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced people professional with extensive experience of leading change and change management policy and process. The role will be within the People Services Directorate and will be responsible for leading, shaping and ensuring the delivery of the UHT people strategy linked to the organisational redesign. The core requirements of the roles will include: Developing a restructure people programme which is robust and ambitious using core project and programme management competences Establishing and maintaining high quality relationships with key individuals including some of the most senior clinicians and operational managers Challenging assumptions and operational preferences to ensure the level of transformational ambition and progress is maintained Leading and project managing a large-scale project, ensuring that the outputs are delivered on time and to specification. Having a high level of autonomy in decision-making, making recommendations on implementation at a strategic level. Establishing and sustaining effective arrangements to plan, manage and monitor the outputs of any work streams that underpin the People Strategy, ensuring that they deliver the required outputs to the agreed specification and deadlines.
