We at Hastings Site strive to serve our people as public servants at the highest quality of practice/service by simply engaging with ourselves, colleagues, other professionals, and most of all whānau and Tamariki from our ngākau. By doing this we can assist and enable Tamariki, Rangatahi and Whānau to achieve the greatest outcomes.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
You will be part of our Care and Protection Team who do things a little differently where we don't follow the typical structure. In most cases tamariki and whanau will have different social workers for each touchpoint: Assessments, refers to FGC then onto another social worker to assess care requirements. We here at Hastings have one social worker who will work their case right through all three of these models, this keeps us accountable to whanau and Tamariki with the decisions we make, it also allows whanau to not have to repeat "their story" each time and this limits the number of hands touching a case. We feel this approach is important for consistency, credibility, and most of all provides more quality in service and practice.

* Full or Provisional registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or able to register - You must have a practising certificate
