Role Responsibilities
* Business Development – Navigate commercial operations/structures in large organisations, identify new leads, and nurture existing contacts. Use market information and networking to inform your approach, primarily in the UK public sector (excluding Defence and Security), while also supporting wider opportunities.
* Strategic Direction – Manage key sales strategies in line with the company’s strategic direction to grow business in this sector. Actively seek intelligence to inform the business's strategic plans and devise experiments that will drive opportunities.
* Closing – Secure new orders from new names in the identified market for both SaaS and professional services to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Connecting – Attend customer sites to deliver meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and to meet with customers and new leads.
* Promotion – Promote Commerce Decisions through marketing activities such as trade shows, customer site visits, webinars, workshops, and social media activity, ensuring engagement with people at the right level in target organisations.
* Collaboration – Collaborate with wider teams/experts in sales, marketing, professional services, customer success, R&D, and finance to ensure each opportunity receives appropriate attention and care, that market intelligence is shared, and to ensure effective transition from pre- to post-sales project phases, including alignment of customer payment obligations.
* Reporting – Regularly report and maintain records on sales forecasts, both on bookings and revenue, strategic direction, and experiments within sales, the senior leadership team, and in corporate (Harris) forums.
