A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, to be able to get the people we support out and about. We are currently looking for a Support Worker in the LN6 area to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis. We are looking for someone fully committed to providing outstanding care and support to others. In this role, you must be reliable, and patient and do what you say you will do. Honesty and integrity are everything. You will be supporting four people with learning disabilities in their own home, two of whom are Brother and Sister. You will work on a rota, so each shift is allocated to staff fairly. You will work as part of a rota which will include, earlies, lates, long days, mid shifts and wake nights. You will also be required to work a share of weekends (normally every other) and bank holidays. You will be supporting them with every aspect of their life e.g personal care, administering medication, cooking, cleaning, shopping, attending appointments. The gentleman enjoys swimming on a Saturday - which is always 2:1 support, going out for meals, watching buses and trains, he also likes water play, he likes playing with his remote control car too. Visit to see his mum once a week are very important to him too. The lady enjoys sewing and embroidery, colouring, going out for meals or a coffee, swimming, cooking and baking and seeing family. Both have their own Mobility cars so they can go out individually and go to the places they enjoy.
