Position and Rewards:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Berkeley Lodge, our specialist dementia nursing home in Worthing.
Reporting to the Home Manager, this role involves working with an experienced clinical team to carry out planned, proactive, and reactive clinical duties. The team is committed to providing professional, respectful, and quality care within a safe home environment.
This is a hands-on role, and appropriate experience and relevant qualifications are paramount, along with a commitment to providing a first-class service to all residents.
Week 1: Tuesday and Wednesday long days and Friday night
Week 2: Wednesday long day, Saturday and Sunday night
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all residents.
* Champion patient choice and autonomy, ensuring that all staff work in a dignified and respectful manner.
* Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty, collaborating with colleagues to ensure excellent resident care and communication.
* Promote good morale amongst staff and continuously strive to improve effective teamwork and support development.
* Foster relationships with families, advocates, and NOK, keeping them informed of all changes to residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
* Ensure all documentation is completed comprehensively, concisely, and in a timely manner, including individualized care plans that must be reviewed and amended as residents' needs change.
* At least 1 year of experience in a nursing role.
* A Nursing degree or above.
* Able to prioritize tasks to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
* Good reporting skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
* Previous clinical experience in geriatric, frailty, end-of-life, and dementia care.
We are looking for someone who is:
* Hands-on in their approach with a can-do attitude.
* Able to think on their feet and under pressure while handling multiple tasks.
* Possessing good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff, residents, managers, directors, and contractors.
* Familiar with IT skills such as Excel, Word, MS Office, with accuracy and attention to detail being essential.

* Pay: £22.00 p/h Weekdays and £23.10 Weekends.
