Due to the post-holder successfully securing headship, this is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding middle leader or existing Deputy Head to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about prep school education and have the idea, drive, and enthusiasm to lead upon and deliver the next phase of academic development at St Hugh’s. They will work closely with the Headmaster and SLT in considering and achieving our strategic aim of academic excellence and wellbeing.

St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding prep school with 350 pupils between the ages of 3 and 13. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 40 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford.
The post holder will report directly to the Headmaster. They will be responsible for leading, managing and developing all academic matters relating to St Hugh’s School. They will oversee the academic operation and quality assurance of the whole school, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
