Finance Officer - South Belfast 6-month contract (possible extension) | £28,000 pro-rata | Excellent benefits package Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in South Belfast who are seeking a Finance Officer to join their team. Working independently, the Finance Officer will take control of the day-to-day finance within the organisation. Specific duties will include: Maintain the purchase order, invoicing, and payment systems and processes Maintain the sales ledger, consulting with other teams to ensure accuracy of invoicing and receipts information on all IT systems, including processing of invoices and receipts Reconciling data from differing sources to ensure consistency of data Source potential suppliers for goods/services provided and prepare concise reports to enable effective decision making Preparing reconciliations of all bank/credit card accounts for review and approval Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register Reconcile Creditor & Debtors accounts Prepare quarterly cash projection reports Assist in the preparation of the annual budget Prepare year-end Financial Statements to trial balance stage Working alongside management assisting with the preparation of periodic reports Dealing with queries and requests from both Internal and External Auditors The Person: Applicants will be able to work independently and will have the ability to liaise with suppliers, internal staff and stakeholders. Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of the wider team. Applicants will have 3+ years finance experience in a similar role and will be conversant with Sage software. An ATI accounting technician qualification is preferred but is not essential.
