Managing Director - Infrastructure, Energy, Telecoms & Water

Our client, a dynamic and expanding organisation with a significant presence in the North East, is seeking an exceptional Managing Director to lead their Infrastructure, Energy, Telecoms, and Water division.

About the Role:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of the division.
You will lead a high-performing team, foster strong client relationships, and identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
You will be a key figure in the company's senior leadership team, contributing to the overall growth and success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth, innovation, and profitability across the Infrastructure, Energy, Telecoms, and Water sectors.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects of the division, ensuring efficient delivery of projects and services, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement.
* Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and expand the company's market share.
* Financial Management: Manage the division's budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure profitability.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
* Sustainability: Drive the implementation of sustainable practices and solutions across the division.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the Infrastructure, Energy, Telecoms, or Water sectors.
* Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
* Excellent financial management skills.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
* Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the UK infrastructure, energy, telecoms, and water markets.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification.
* Experience of working within the North East region is highly desirable.
