Are you a skilled Project Engineer with a background in Electrical engineering?
Tata Steel UK are looking for a Project Engineer to provide, maintain, and develop engineering services for capital and special revenue projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead key projects from conception through to completion, making a lasting impact on the future of our operations.
What you will do
this role, you will:
1. Develop and manage project plans in line with long-term strategies, ensuring all phases, from concept to final acceptance, are fully delivered.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant standards during all lifecycle phases, including design, specification, installation, and maintenance.
3. Support improvement and capital plans as decided by the Senior Engineering team.
4. Provide expert engineering support for improvement work and problem-solving.
5. Assist in setting Tata Steel Trostre’s policy in line with ISO/IEC, EN, BS, and Tata Steel guidance.
6. Organize and document safety studies, such as risk assessments, HAZOP, and FMEA.
7. Participate in call-out systems for plant support and provide out-of-hours assistance as needed.
8. Use SAP and manage changes with the creation of Management of Change documents.
What you will need
As an experienced Project Engineer, you should ideally have a degree in engineering, combined with experience in the steel industry. Knowledge of project management techniques, risk assessments, and safety studies is essential.
Strong analytical, computing, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to create reports. A full driving license and valid passport may be needed for occasional UK and European travel.
