Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) builds on that foundation with innovative distribution and end-to-end supply chain service.
To effectively bring our service to our customers, we are seeking a passionate graduate to perform cross-functional duties to facilitate product and program landing and execution for AGL Origin team based in China. The position will work across the AGL CN and International teams, collaborating with Sales, Product, Operation, Marketing and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is someone who excels in sales operations, demonstrates operational excellence, and has a strong passion for empowering internal teams.
Key job responsibilities
A successful candidate will have experience managing complex business challenges and the ability to provide data-driven solutions to improve the operations process and successfully drive initiatives forward. You have a strong bias toward data-driven decision making, and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems and to each other. You have the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with multiple stakeholders and senior leadership. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. You will tackle novel, challenging situations every day and have the opportunity to work with multiple teams at Amazon in different locations.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, talented, self-motivated thought leader who can manage both innovation and execution. Qualified candidates have very strong analytical and communication skills, experience in project management, and a strong ability to earn the trust of others.
A day in the life
· Own the delivery of timely business operations and high-quality work products
· Leverage data tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau and Salesforce.com to manage and optimize sales opportunities
· Work relentlessly to improve existing processes and use data-driven decision making to make recommendations for systems, processes, and business improvements
· Develop SOPs, workflows, metrics, reports or other analytical tools to maximize productivity
· Have an entrepreneurial spirit, show excellent judgment, be passionate about high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo), deliver innovative solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Mandarin
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Analysis, Information Systems Technology, or similar related fields
- Can do a 6 months internship
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with professional experience with Excel/SQL; ability to handle data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop tools, and evaluate outcomes
- Professional program management internship experience
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese; excels at delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Innovative; loves to challenge the status quo and reinvent on behalf of our Sellers and Business Customers
- Ability to learn fast and adapt to changes with strong ownership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools
- Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people, and systems in order to invent, simplify, and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
- Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel
