Your new role
The role of themodity Procurement Specialist will operate as a key member of Procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager. You will be conducting sourcing processes across a range of definedmodity groups, involving all relevant stakeholders. You will carry out the effective procurement of goods and services that support all Business Units across the organisation. You'll manage the Purchase to Pay process for a range of materials ensuring all requirements are in line with thepany requirements.
The role involves analysing spend and usage data to develop and implement procurement strategies across variousmodities. The goal is to align with the organization’s business objectives, engage stakeholders, and ensure whole life costing considerations. The procurement process includes creating appropriate documentation, evaluating supplier submissions, conducting negotiations, managing the purchase-to-pay process, and proactively monitoring supplier performance.
What you'll need to succeed
1. HND or equivalent in a relevant subject, and studying towards MCIPS or have 3 years' experience inmodity procurement.
2. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, actively seek valid information to address root causes of issues and efficiently deliver insightful management data.
3. You excel inmunication, relationship-building, organisation, self-awareness, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.
4. You have experience of MS Dynamics or a similar ERP system and are proficient in Microsoft Office products.
5. You have experience in either Chemicals, Logistics, Energy, Packaging, Warehousing, Facilities, Engineering, Capex, or PPE & Workwearmodities.
