Rate: £50 - £60 p/h (inside IR35)
Our client is a leading engineering consultancy business, currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their team and support a variety of projects for West Midlands Police.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Facilities Management (FM) projects across a portfolio of buildings, including fixed wire testing, maintenance of emergency lights, alarms, and general contractor oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee minor FM projects, including fixed wire testing and maintenance of emergency lights and alarms.
2. Manage general contractor oversight and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
3. Ensure annual testing and maintenance works on existing portfolio are carried out efficiently.
4. Supply work to the appropriate subcontractors and manage the projects.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and subcontractors.
6. Ensure documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
7. Proactively reduce energy consumption on site.
8. Supervise visiting subcontractors with regards to the standard of work and health and safety.
9. Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, complying with all health and safety policies and procedures.

* Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering)
