We have a new opportunity to be part of our Metallic Manufacturing team in the role of Manufacturing Engineer .
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement across our machining operations. You’ll work collaboratively with the Manufacturing, Design, and Quality teams to enhance production efficiency, optimise processes, and deliver components to the highest standard—contributing directly to the Team’s goal of consistently being a top team in the FIA Formula One Constructors’ Championship.
You will be responsible for:
* Developing and refining manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, lead time, and cost effectiveness.
* Implementing best practices in CNC programming, tooling, and fixture design.
* Troubleshooting machining issues and delivering technical support to ensure efficient operations.
* Collaborating with machinists, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes and resolve production challenges.
* Monitoring quality metrics and working with QA to implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Conducting root cause analysis and supporting internal audits to maintain standards.
* Leading continuous improvement initiatives including lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Managing machining-related projects from concept to delivery, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
* Preparing and presenting project updates, reports, and recommendations.
* Training and mentoring production staff on technical processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
* Strong manufacturing engineering experience, ideally focused on CNC machining.
* Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAM), CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and machining methods.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Project management experience, with the ability to plan, execute, and report effectively.
* Knowledge of quality principles including SPC and root cause analysis.
* Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional environments.
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
* Self-motivated and capable of inspiring teams around quality and performance.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards.
* Flexible and results-oriented, with sound judgement and decision-making ability.
* A strong commitment to Health & Safety and best working practices.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
