Job description At Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), our purpose is to ensure our sailors, soldiers and aviators in the UK military have the life-saving, battle-winning capabilities to overcome adversaries and adversity, now and in the future. You will join our Military Equipment Tools Solutions (METS) team who provides crucial support to a variety of platforms within the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force. As part of the METS team, you will be responsible for producing toolkits used across all three services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the armed forces are equipped with the best tools to maintain and operate their equipment effectively. Your primary focus will be to assist in providing toolkits that meet defence standards, including those set by the Military Aviation Authority. You’ll be responsible for the precise etching and de-etching of tools using advanced laser and dot-matrix etching machines. Your keen eye for detail and dedication to safety and quality will ensure that every toolkit not only meets but exceeds the demands of the defence sector. By adhering to established processes, you’ll help uphold the highest standards, making a significant impact on our commitment to excellence. We champion flexible ways of working.
