You will be the specialist who will provide technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across the Manchester University Hospitals Estate Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:
* Carry out installation, repairs and planned preventative maintenance for complex systems that have a high impact on patient and staff care and patient safety including; Electrical Power & lighting, Electrical distribution equipment, Emergency lighting, Nurse Call systems, Auto door systems, Entry systems, Motors, Pumps, ventilation systems and controls in patient environments.
* Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace
* Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
What you bring:
Electrician
* Fully qualified Electrician holding a City & Guilds/NVQ qualification to 18th Edition IET Regulations, or equivalent.
* Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge.
* Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills
* Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude
* Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressure
