Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Clinical Audit Officer to join our busy Clinical Audit Team.
You will be working full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (9am to 5pm on Thursdays, 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays) based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. You will help our Stroke team to monitor and improve patient care by collecting and entering data for the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Project (SSNAP). You will be working as part of the clinical audit team extracting patient data and entering it onto computerised data entry tools. The workload is varied and interesting and you will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team.
We are looking for an individual who has good attention to detail and is fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office. You will have a good standard of written English, a high degree of accuracy, be confident and enjoy working as part of a team. The successful applicant must be able to work full time hours and would ideally have some experience of working in an office.
The role will involve interacting with a variety of people within the organisation, including: patients, carers and staff at all levels. Therefore you will need to be able to communicate well and have the confidence to give updates at meetings.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder is responsible for supporting clinical audit within the Trust under the supervision of the Clinical Audit Facilitator for National Audits.
* The post holder will work with clinical staff throughout the Trust to carry out the National Stroke Audit.
* The post holder will be expected to develop a wide-ranging knowledge of hospital systems and procedures.
* The post holder will be required to have experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Following training the post holder will be required to become competent in the use of the SSNAP online data entry tool and the computerised Capture Stroke system.
