🚀 Business Manager – Exciting Opportunity at Assystem!
📍 Location: Blackburn or Warrington (with regular travel to client and Assystem sites)
The Business Manager will play a key role in our operations and will deputise for the Business Unit Director as needed. If you're a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

🔹 Set and manage budgets, ensuring financial goals are met
🔹 Lead monthly reporting & forecasting for business planning
🔹 Execute the Business Plan and drive continuous improvement
🔹 Innovate – bring new methods, procedures, and efficiencies
🔹 Lead bids for new opportunities and major framework projects
🔹 Oversee governance for bids and project delivery
🔹 Review and approve proposals & quotations
🔹 Collaborate with HSEQ Manager to meet quality and safety standards
🔹 Ensure customer satisfaction and optimise efficiency
🔹 Manage staff performance and team development
🔹 Implement corrective actions post-audits
🔹 Ensure security compliance across all operations
🔹 Maintain optimal staffing and effective team structures

Qualifications

✅ Strong experience with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
✅ Excellent communication at all levels
✅ Proven success in Joint Venture or Alliance environments
✅ Experience in customer-facing roles, influencing key decision-makers
✅ Ability to resolve challenges and drive a win-win approach
✅ Track record in developing high-performing teams
✅ Strong leadership and people management skills
✅ IT savvy, with the ability to create high-quality presentations
✅ Confident in presenting to senior management
✅ Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Degree in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering (or equivalent preferred)
🎓 Experience in the Nuclear Industry (highly desirable)
