About the Company
Our client is a well-respected, long-standing building services contractor based in Cannock, specialising in the delivery of commercial, education, and industrial electrical projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for technical excellence and customer service, they are now looking to appoint a qualified Electrical NICEIC Supervisor to lead on compliance, testing, and the supervision of on-site delivery.
The Role
As an Electrical NICEIC Supervisor, you will be the company’s nominated Qualified Supervisor, responsible for ensuring all electrical work is carried out to current regulatory standards, in compliance with NICEIC and BS7671 requirements. You’ll support project delivery through inspections, testing, sign-offs, and guiding a team of electricians and subcontractors across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the business, overseeing all electrical compliance.

Conduct testing, inspection, and certification of completed works to BS7671 standards.
*
Complete and manage all required NICEIC certification, records, and audits.
*
Provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams and subcontractors.
*
Conduct site audits and toolbox talks to ensure safe working practices.
*
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
*
Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications as required.
*
Ensure regulatory, health and safety, and quality standards are maintained at all times.

Contribute to the ongoing training and development of apprentices and junior engineers.
Qualifications & Certifications (Essential)
*
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
*
City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing (or 2394/2395)
*
City & Guilds 2382-18 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
*
City & Guilds 2377 – PAT Testing
*
City & Guilds 2365 – Level 2 & 3 Electrical Installation (desirable for apprenticeships)
*
City & Guilds 2919 – Installation and Maintenance of EV Charging Equipment (desirable)
*
NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status (or ability to gain)
*
ECS Gold Card – Electrician (Essential)
*
Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Additional Skills & Experience
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial/industrial electrical installations
*
Strong knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations, H&S, and electrical compliance
*
Experience supervising teams and sub-contractors
*
Ability to carry out and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
*
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
*
Confident communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
*
IT literate – able to use certification software and Microsoft Office Suite
