About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will be instrumental in supporting students with behavioural needs. You will provide one-on-one and group support to help students manage their behaviour, develop and implement behaviour management strategies, and work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment. Your role will also involve supporting students in developing social skills and emotional resilience, monitoring and recording their progress and behaviour, and liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
* Provide targeted support to students with behavioural difficulties.
* Promote positive behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills.
* Collaborate with teachers to create and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
* Record and report on students’ progress and behaviour.
* Work with external professionals, such as counsellors and social workers, to provide holistic support.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Mentor or in a similar role.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management are desirable.

* Have the right to work in the UK
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
