The Opportunity
We are looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team, based out of Northwich. The successful individual will be responsible for leading and motivating the Sales and Marketing team, managing day-to-day activities, driving sales growth across our Retail and Out of Home channels, enhancing our brand presence, and maximising market share.
What you will contribute
1. Lead and manage a team of sales and marketing professionals, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
2. Oversee the sales process, set sales targets, monitor and report performance to ensure targets are achieved.
3. Work as part of the senior leadership team in a collaborative and dynamic environment, driving performance across Grocery, Impulse, Convenience, Independent, and Food Service.
4. Lead Marketing to complement sales strategy by ensuring that sales plans reflect market intelligence and sales activities are aligned with branding.
5. Lead the sales forecasting process to ensure that assets and resources are aligned with market opportunities to enhance our challenger aspirations.
6. Develop excellent, mutually beneficial customer relationships, heading up all key accounts and delivering optimal customer service.
7. Act as a champion of the family values, leading by example and coaching the team to enhance their effectiveness in role.
What you will bring
1. Track record in FMCG, ideally food, Branded and Private Label at senior level (ideally some experience in a challenger business).
2. Robust background in leading Sales with demonstrable evidence of increasing revenue, margin, and shareholder value.
3. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
4. Proven experience of successfully managing P&L and IBM processes.
5. Experience of developing excellent customer relationships/focus, leading Brand strategy & building Brand awareness/salience, and delivering new product development.
6. Record of delivering high-level price negotiations, tenders, and new business wins.
