Electrical Engineer
We have a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at one of our sites in the Abingdon area. This role will be based on our client site, a Scientific Research Centre.
The Role and Responsibilities
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance on building services equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
* Perform reactive and emergency breakdown tasks as allocated by management to minimize downtime and maintain service levels.
* Carry out thorough inspections, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues.
* Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels, promoting efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate electronic records of job completion using tablets or smartphones.
* Keep site-based records and log books up-to-date, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
* Adhere to strict cleaning and housekeeping protocols to maximize the life expectancy of all equipment.
* Promote energy efficiency on client sites through proactive measures and recommend cost-saving improvements.
* Comply with all health, safety, compliance, and local policies and procedures to create a safe working environment.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers through face-to-face, telephone, and email communication.
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Required Qualifications and Experience
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* 18th Edition certification.
* AM2 accreditation.
