On-Call Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Are you a confident small animal vet looking for a rewarding and flexible out-of-hours role in a stunning part of Scotland? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated veterinary surgeon to help relaunch and develop our small animal emergency provision. This is an exciting chance to join a passionate team and deliver vital care to animals in need, all while enjoying a work-life balance that truly works for you.
This role is ideal for a vet who thrives in emergency situations and is confident working independently, whether at our well-equipped site or on-call from the comfort of their own home (or in our provided accommodation). You'll play a key part in supporting our local community and veterinary teams, with strong problem-solving skills and a genuine commitment to client care being essential.
We believe that delivering exceptional veterinary care shouldn't come at the expense of your personal wellbeing. That’s why we’ve created a rota that supports both your clinical goals and your lifestyle.
This role follows a one-week-on, three-weeks-off rota pattern, offering a perfect blend of fulfilling clinical exposure and extended personal time. Working from 6pm to 8am, Monday to Sunday, you’ll respond to small animal emergencies as needed. If you’re based locally, you can work from home; if not, accommodation is available to make your on-call week comfortable and convenient.
We’re also open to discussing a one-week-on, one-week-off pattern if preferred, with salary adjusted accordingly.
We’re proud to serve the Moray community, offering accessible, affordable, and personalised veterinary care. Having recently enhanced our large animal and equine out-of-hours support, we are now investing in small animal emergency services and want you to help shape that journey.
In addition to an incredible work-life balance, we offer:
* A competitive salary of up to £31,000 DOE (based on a one-week-on, three-weeks-off schedule)
* Up to £7,500 relocation allowance to support your move
* Visa sponsorship available for overseas candidates
