Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Halesowen
Hours: MON – THURS 8.00AM – 5PM
FRI: 8.00 – 4PM
Pay Rate: £34000 - £38000
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer for our client in Halesowen. The client offers engineering excellence and has a long history of manufacturing and evolving capabilities. Responsibilities:
Provide responsibility for the Machining of the products detailed on Works Orders & Drawings, taking ownership from receipt of the W.O, through all machining operations to Final Inspection, maintaining the highest levels of utilization & efficiency whilst complying with all current standards and legislative requirements.

What’s the job?
1. Setting up and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, or turning.
2. Ideally proficient using Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
3. Develop and write programs for CNC machines using CAD and Fusion software
4. Interpreting technical drawings to determine the necessary machining operations.
5. Monitoring machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
6. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance
7. Inspecting finished products for accuracy and conformance to requirements.
8. Performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
9. Responsible for machining own jigs and fixtures
10. To help train/develop other personnel
11. Ensure good housekeeping practices and regularly maintain machine fluids and coolant levels.
12. Document work orders, fill out necessary paperwork, and ensure accurate labelling and quantities of parts.
13. Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, wearing the required personal protective equipment at all times.
14. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following ISO 14001 standards for environmental compliance.
15. Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Who can do this?
1. Excellent mathematics required for accurate measurements and calculations
2. Candidate with prior experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.
3. Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
7. Expert experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, within the precision machining industry.
8. Solid understanding of CNC milling operations, including programming, setting up and operating machines.
9. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with CAD files.
10. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
11. Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility in meeting commitments.
12. Willingness to work overtime hours and weekends based on production requirements.
13. Familiarity with health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
14. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or suitable apprenticeship, but a long-proven track record could also suffice.
