An opportunity has arisen at Lyminge School for the appointment of a Clerk to the school governors. Could this be the flexible part-time job for you?
The role of Clerk is varied, but the most important aspect is to organise meetings of the governing body and take the minutes. In addition, after suitable training or experience, the clerk advises governors to work within the appropriate laws and regulations.
There are no fixed hours, but the Clerk is expected to attend all meetings of the governing body and to be able to respond to issues as and when they arise, approximately 10 - 12 hours per month.
The work is paid by the hour, with a starting salary of £24,040 - £28,850 fte, dependant on qualifications and experience.
If you have experience in school clerking or a similar role and would like to know more about the position please contact Dr Sarah Montgomery, Chair of Governors, via the school office office@lyminge.kent.sch.uk.
