About the Role
VSA is a leading social care charity in Aberdeen, dedicated to providing exceptional support services to individuals and communities. As a Night Support/Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our service users at Ruthrieston House.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care and support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
* Contribute to the effective management of service user care plans, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Support service users with their physical care needs, including toileting and mobility assistance.
* Monitor and respond to service user needs during night shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in social care.
Requirements
* Experience in residential care settings, with a focus on night shifts.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
* Willingness to undertake an SCQF Level 6 (equivalent SVQ2) in Social Services and Healthcare, if not already held.
