About the Role:
As EG Group continues to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Fuel Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and optimizing fuel inventory levels at our fuel stations and depots. Leveraging your advanced skills in Power BI and data analytics, you'll create interactive dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights, minimize fuel losses, and drive continuous improvement in our fuel operations.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Monitor fuel levels at storage tanks and fuel stations using automated fuel stock systems.
2. Track and report on fuel deliveries, consumption, and variances in fuel stock.
3. Use Power BI to build interactive dashboards for real-time stock monitoring and alert systems.
4. Ensure fuel inventories are maintained within optimal levels and identify low-stock situations before shortages occur.
5. Analyse fuel stock data using Power BI to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies in fuel levels.
6. Build and maintain detailed Power BI reports and dashboards for stock variance analysis, daily reconciliations, and performance metrics.
7. Provide senior management with data-driven insights, custom visuals, and predictive analytics based on historical fuel data.
8. Identify and address potential causes of fuel loss, such as equipment malfunctions or theft, using data-driven insights from Power BI reports.
9. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve fuel tank calibration and equipment-related issues.
10. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards for fuel handling and storage by tracking relevant metrics in Power BI dashboards.
11. Work with IT and technical teams to maintain and improve management systems and their integration with Power BI.
12. Design and develop system enhancements to improve fuel tracking accuracy and efficiency using Power BI’s data modeling and visualization capabilities.
13. Assist in training teams to use Power BI for stock monitoring and reporting.
14. Provide timely updates to site managers, depot staff, and senior management on fuel stock issues through Power BI reports.
15. Leverage Power BI’s analytical capabilities to continuously refine and improve fuel variance analysis processes.
16. Assist in developing strategies to optimize fuel ordering, storage, and distribution processes through data-driven decision-making.

What we’re looking for:
1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Data Analytics, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Relevant certifications in Power BI, fuel management, logistics, or supply chain are an advantage.
3. 2+ years of experience in fuel management, fuel analysis, or a similar role.
4. Proven experience with Power BI in building dashboards, reports, and data models for business analysis.
5. Strong knowledge of fuel supply chains, distribution systems, and fuel stock management software (e.g., Fairbanks, Tokheim).
6. Expertise in Power BI: report building, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and visualization design.
7. Proficient in using fuel stock monitoring systems and tools.
8. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, including integration with Power BI.
9. Strong analytical mindset with excellent data interpretation and visualization skills.
10. Ability to present complex data clearly using Power BI dashboards and reports.
11. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
12. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
13. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
