Certain Advantage is hiring for a Protection & Control Engineer based in Glasgow.
This role is on a permanent basis and is hybrid.

The Company
We're working with a remarkable business which provides advanced monitoring and control systems based on ground-breaking, patented technologies, with the ability to drastically reduce downtime and the operational cost of clean power networks through tailored and scalable solutions.
Now in scale-up phase, they are looking for engineers with power protection experience, to step into a blended role, which will see you have tangible impact upon R&D / Engineering, as well as working to enhance the customer experience.
The Role:
This role would suit someone with a background in protection and control engineering, looking to receive excellent training and development, enabling you to progress in a role which operates at the intersection of the engineering, sales, operations, and customer service departments.
You'll be a key member of the Engineering & Applications team, utilizing your technical expertise to add value to client relationships, provide technical support on the company's unique technology, and act as a trusted power system protection applications consultant.
Day to day you will:
Work as a key part of the R&D, Engineering and Applications teams
Contribute towards NPD / NPI
Receive Technical training on bespoke technology
Deliver pre-sales technical support for the application of the company's technology, grounded in established engineering principles, practices, and standards within the power industry
Enhance customer relationships by engaging in technical discussions and negotiations, while offering commercially viable solutions
Maintain a strong understanding of power system instrumentation and technologies, ensuring the company's solutions align effectively with customer needs
Enhance the company's credibility in power system protection through professional interactions with customers and stakeholders, utilising media - proposals, bids, presentations, case studies, conference papers, and meetings

Any background in Protection and Control Engineering
