ARTU is a 27 Bedded ground breaking new unit caring for acute patients stepping down from intensive care, or straight from theatre or A&E, requiring support to achieve their maximum potential for physical, cognitive, social and psychological function. ARTU is one of the first hyper-acute specialised rehabilitation units to be developed within Major trauma centre. The ward based multidisciplinary team will care for patients requiring specialised rehabilitation following severe head trauma, complex spinal injuries, polytrauma and other acquired brain injury.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have good communication skills. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about providing patient care. The primary focus of the role will be to provide essential clinical care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The post holder will be required to perform a range of delegated clinical duties utilising and developing the skills identified for the clinical area.
Person Specification
* Care experience for over 12 months
* Care experience with patients with traumatic brain injuries
* Knowledge and interest in specialised rehabilitation and trauma
