The Role
Key aspects of the role are to be accountable fully for your area. Delivery of results through your team & driving the CI process, by coaching, mentoring & developing your team. Working collaboratively with support functions.
At the Annan site, we produce Youngs Scampi for many major retailers. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards while fostering a close-knit and collaborative working environment.
This role is based in Annan, the Scottish borders. Candidates will be required to work on site 5 days per week due to the nature of the role.
Duties Include:
* To coach, develop and support your team to deliver excellent results.
* To champion Sofina Company values (Integrity, Respect & Accountability), promoting a positive workplace culture.
* To drive & lead the CI agenda in your area, challenging all processes.
* To utilise department KPI's to prioritise production schedules to deliver production goals, identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement.
* To act as a professional and trusted advisor to the Head of Operations and site management team on all production matters relating to the Annan site.
* Accountable for managing employee relations across your area including absence, conduct and performance, working closely with the HR department to align with Sofina people policies.
* To drive the site to produce the best possible outcome for audits and maintain audit standards year on year, delivering outstanding performance against quality and safety expectations.
* Accountable for ensuring the food safety, legality, and quality of finished products in your area. Continually challenge and improve systems, processes, people, structure, and machinery.
* Accountable for ensuring that people adhere strictly to H&S on site and that machines are maintained to be efficient, safe, and produce the quality of work required across your areas of responsibility.
* Champion SHE across your area of responsibility, role modeling safe behaviors.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Extensive experience of production leadership; with exposure to FMCG environments, BRC audit standards and being 'audit ready.'
* Experience working in a fish factory.
* A working understanding of Microsoft Office.
* HACCP Level 3 (or equivalent).
* Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
* NEBOSH Certificate qualified (desirable).
