Position: L2 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Quidenham, Norwich,
Salary: £21,709.61 - £22,388.59 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on Thursdays, with an extra half-hour off on another day)
About The School:
This large SEN school is expanding. They are currently looking for Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and dynamic team. Located in Quidenham, Norwich, the school provides day placements for students aged 11 to 16 years with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, or conditions on the autistic spectrum.
Their small class sizes, capped at 10 students with a minimum of 3 staff per class, allow for a focused and individualized approach to education. Additionally, our full clinical team and experienced Senior Leadership Team (SLT) are always on hand to provide support.

Key Duties:
Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and engaged.
Promote independence and personal development in pupils while maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
Support the delivery of high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.
Assist the Class Teacher in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the class.
Adapt to the varying and changing needs of the school to ensure smooth operation.
Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of pupils.
Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
Responsibilities:
GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
Experience and knowledge of working with pupils with SEMH and ASD.
Due to the school's location, candidates must hold a full UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
