We have an exciting opportunity within the busy Shared Revenues Partnership for a Revenues and Inspection Team Leader.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of a team within the Revenues and Inspection area of the Shared Revenues Partnership, reporting directly to the Revenues Manager. You will ensure the day-to-day activities necessary for the efficient and effective collection of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates and Housing Benefit Overpayments are administered efficiently and accurately and to agreed service standards and policies and procedures for three Local Authorities: Babergh District Council, Ipswich Borough Council and Mid Suffolk District Council.
You should have:
2 A-levels, an ONC/OND or an NVQ level 4 and/or 3 years qualitative experience
Previous experience in a billing/collection or recovery environment
In-depth knowledge of Revenues legislation and the ability to interpret Revenues legislation to deal with complex and contentious issues.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff in a performance focused culture.
Demonstrate effective presentation and communication skills.
Ability to manage to tight deadlines.
Ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.
DBS Clearance is required for this role
We are based at Grafton House, Russell Road, Ipswich. Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office).

The selection process will include personality and aptitude tests and an interview. You will also be asked to deliver a presentation at the interview. The interview process will be carried out in person.
