The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TCG) has an opportunity for an experienced educator to join the Academic Studies team at Altrincham to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
We are seeking a Programme Leader to manage our thriving GCSE programme. With a reputation for excellence and a growing student body, we are proud to offer a pathway that has seen our alumni progress to prestigious universities such as Oxford and embark on careers in fields like Medicine.
The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Programme Leader for Academic Studies to manage our Full-Time GCSE programme. This is a unique opportunity to lead a course that caters to 250 ambitious students, including overseas learners, home schooled individuals, and those seeking to improve their grades.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the Full-Time GCSE programme at Altrincham and Stockport, ensuring high-quality delivery and student success.
2. Manage and support a dedicated team of tutors, fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.
3. Develop and implement strategies to continually improve the programme and student outcomes.
4. Engage with students and parents to provide exceptional support and guidance.
5. Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
6. Liaise with colleagues across the college to ensure a seamless transition for students progressing to A Levels and other Level 3 courses.
7. Promote the programme to prospective students and their families, showcasing its strengths and successes.
8. Occasionally travel to our Stockport campus to collaborate with colleagues and support students.
